The Rumors of My Demise Aren't Really that Exaggerated

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a saying that has been worn out more than than Joan Rivers' face.

Jokes aside, you fellow readers are probably wondering what cliff I fell off and where I've been these days. The simple answer is that I didn't go anywhere. No, really. I've been in my room this entire time, twiddling my thumbs when I'm not engaged in homework or magic. Quite the life indeed.

Anyway, the reasons behind the sudden blog revival after the break!

I've decided that I need to start a blog up again as I did in August of 2011, only this time I intend to attempt to stick to a regular updating schedule.  Mainly, I want a way to have an outlet to pretty much everything that goes on in my life up to a point. Obviously, I won't be disclosing every little detail about my life here but I will try to inform on the important parts. Also, the majority of this blog will be devoted to my Magic grind, both in paper and MODO (if you couldn't tell by the name of the blog).

So what do I, the author extraordinaire, want to get out of this blog? The main reason I want to get the blog back to a functional state is to improve my writing. In order to perfect I need to practice, and I could not think of a better way to work on my composition skills than writing about my life. On top of that, I want to keep track of my Magic progress through tournament reports, decklists, and just general musings on the game. I figure if I keep a written collection of how I do in tournaments, I can see weaknesses in my game and try to better those areas.

Now what should you, fellow reader, expect from ME? Hopefully interesting dialogue and insight about daily life. I believe people always find the life of another entirely more interesting than their own and I hope to entertain some of you with my terrible sense of humor and satiric lines. I truly do want the reader to gain the smallest bit of knowledge from this blog whether that be from Magic, my random rantings that will undoubtedly happen, or just stories from my life.

So fellow reader, I leave this post in the hope that it is only the first of many and that you will come along for the ride of each and every one. As Kurt Vonnegut said, so it goes.
